New CD Album Releases, 1-5-2010: Ke$ha The big touted album this week is the debut from Ke$ha, who made some bit of a name for a guest appearance on a Flo Rida hit. This is being pushed about a dozen different ways, including placement of the "Tik Tok" single in Project Runway spots. The little bits I'm hearing seem like maybe slightly above average pre-fab studio pop radio fodder.
The Lynyrd Skynyrd Street Survivors [Rarities Edition] is an interesting sounding artifact that does NOT include the originally released album, but an earlier alternate recording of the album, plus unused songs from the sessions and some live performances.
Also, dig the groovy Jackson 5 re-issues. Lot of groovy stuff in there.
