Sarah Palin Ain't Much of a Redneck
Sarah Palin ain't much of a redneck. Don't get me wrong: I got a lot of love for Sister Sarah, but I am a little disappointed with her and Todd regarding this Troopergate business.
They've got this dick of a state trooper ex-brother in law screw-up named Mike Wooten. Frankly, you can just take one glance at this guy and intuit that he needs to be taken out behind the barn and knocked in the back of the head. Besides his looks, he's been known to drink in his police cruiser and break game laws that he is charged with enforcing.
Oh yeah, and this dickhead tasered his 10 year old stepson (e.g. the governor's nephew) to "teach him a lesson." Plus, he's made threats of physical violence against the Heath family. This includes a death threat for his ex's father, that is to say also the governor's father.
Some people seem to think that it was in some way inappropriate to want this Wooten fired from the force. Apparently this mostly means that Todd Palin bitched about how badly this guy needed fired to pretty much anybody who'd listen for a couple of years.
So now there's been these big hearings in Alaska, rushed through so they could get their digs in before the election. I know they cleared the governor of any actual wrongdoing. I missed some of the fine details. But apparently they called Todd Palin in again to ask him why this Wooten still had frickin' kneecaps? Least ways, that's what I would have been wanting to know.
But this Wooten doesn't just have kneecaps - he's still got his trooper job. Sarah Palin certainly didn't push the point with Wooten very hard. She's the f'ng governor of the f'ng state. She could get a trooper fired if she really applied herself, m'kay?
So why didn't she? He threatened to kill the governor's father. If I were the governor and we had a violent schmuckface like this threatening my father, I goddam guarantee you he would not have any job working for the state. Most likely they'd have to leave the state to escape my retibution. And I don't see how any reasonable person would consider that inappropriate.
By any rights, long ago Todd Palin and maybe this big beefy new hockey playing son-in-law Levi Johnston should have been waiting for the little bitch in some parking lot to talk sense into him with an aluminum baseball bat. He's got a good old fashioned Hank Jr attitude adjustment coming - at a minimum.
Exactly what state authorities want to take the responsibility for prosecuting the governor's husband for beating down a bastard who threatened their family? Death threats against someone's father could cause somebody to go missing in these parts. A hard beatdown would seem like getting off easy. I'd expect Wooten to whisper sincerely at the end, "Thank you sir for your generosity."
Again, I dig the Palins, but they're a little derelict in their redneck family responsibility to fix the problem themselves. It's a small mark against the Palin brand name that this fool Wooten still has a job - and kneecaps.
