I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

New Album Releases, 7-25-2006 Tom Petty, New York Dolls, Linda Rondstadt Obviously the big deal this week is Tom Petty's new Highway Companion. This isn't going to make you forget Damn the Torpedoes, but it's pretty good. "Saving Grace" will certainly go down as one of his classics. This the current #1 seller at Amazon, as well it should be just for that kick-ass single.
Thirty odd years after their last album, and short a couple of dead members, the New York Dolls have a new album, One Day It Will Please Us to Remember Even This.
For my part, I've gotten more good out of Linda Rondstadt's later period Spanish albums than her much more famous pop hits, so her new Adieu False Heart sounds somewhat promising. She's teamed with a Cajun folk singer named Ann Savoy, billing themselves as the Zozo Sisters. The record is described as combining basic Cajun fiddle and accordian with chamber string sections. Might be worth a listen. I note that this is rated the #9 seller today at Amazon.
