New CD Album Releases, 9-22-2009: They Might Be Giants, Pearl Jam, Harry Connick Jr The best bet this week is Here Comes Science, a children's album on Disney from They Might Be Giants. Got to love catchy custom TMBG songs like "Meet the Elements" and "Why Does the Sun Shine?" Most especially, I particularly appreciate that they end the album with a song called "Put It To the Test." Plus, there's a DVD.
Yeah, uh, Pearl Jam keeps making albums. Not having made a vaguely memorable song since their first album, I would suggest that they should just save themselves a lot of bother with titles, and call the rest of their interchangeable albums NOT Ten. Thus, being their ninth album, this would be NOT Ten VIII.
Harry Connick Jr has Your Songs. It's an album of smoochy covers, including "Besame Mucho" and "Can't Help Falling in Love With You."
