Borat pranks nice Americans I'm all about Borat. Even my cat sings along with "Throw the Jew Down the Well" at this point. I was pleased to contribute to the $9 million opening day gross for Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
I'll have a proper review of the movie eventually, but the first thing to get my arms around this phenomenon was to consider how the unwitting Americans in his candid camera stunts comported themselves. The basic point was obviously to throw people social curveballs and give them opportunities to say dumb bigoted crap for all the world to see. But that's mostly not what happened at all in the actual practice.
