----
I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

New Album Releases, 10-24-2006: Aimee Mann, Alabama, and Butchering the Beatles Just in time for Halloween, the underappreciated Aimee Mann releases a Christmas album, One More Drifter in the Snow. It includes two original compositions (with Michael Penn), and at least a couple of other songs not familiar to me. It also includes basic Christmas standards such as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch."
Also just in time for Halloween comes Butchering the Beatles: A Headbashing Tribute. The "bone-crushing" album features Billy Idol singing "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the contributions of luminaries including Alice Cooper and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Supersunnyspeedgraphic: The LP collects Ben Folds tracks mostly from the limited run EPs Super D, Sunny 16, and Speed Graphic. This includes Ben Fold's version of Dr Dre's closing track from The Chronic, "Bitches Ain't Shit."
The first album by Alabama in five years is also their first gospel album, Songs of Inspiration.
Montgomery Gentry is a big name in modern "country" music, but damned if I can remember a single tune. Word of this indistinguished act adding funk and hip-hop beats to the mix on Some People Change does not inspire hope. Doubtless it'll sell millions.
Moby has a hits album out, which includes a new single with Debbie Harry, "New York, New York" and a whole bonus CD of remixes.
