Candye Kane 4 Ann Coulter I was pleased to get a note today from singer and sister Blogcritic Candye Kane. I was particularly pleased with this because I have come to her attention by criticizing her article on Ann Coulter. I kind of made her Exhibit A for the persecution in my story on Coulter hatas. But you might expect that when you write a story called "Why I Hate Ann Coulter and You Should Too."
I've actually become even a bit more pro-Ann since that writing. When the business about the NJ widows "enjoying" their husbands deaths broke, I was ready to call a five yard penalty for unnecessary roughness. But I don't think so now. Steeping for awhile in the sanctimony of some of the responses -including from the widows themselves- makes me inclined to give Coulter the point. The responses justify the harsh tone of her original remarks.
She's the perfect sadist to give these masochistic martyrs the abuse that they crave- and vice versa. Like the widows, Coulter enjoys the abuse- but then she's not pretending otherwise.
But Miss Candye wrote to me all friendly and entirely diplomatic. She's awfully nice, even if she's all mean picking on poor defenseless Ann Coulter.
Note also that Miss Candye's apparently pals with the wicked Asylum Street Spankers. Figures that she'd be hanging out with deviated preverts like Wammo.
