I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

Walking season is in Walking is one of my more favorite things to do. I certainly need all the exercise I can get. It gives me some of my stronger feelings of practical accomplishment. It is a prime way to, as a partner puts it, "challenge your health fears."
I tend to be a big sweaty dude anyway, so walking in the summer comes often with some extra discomfort, though this summer season was actually mostly not bad. Sunset's definitely the time for summer walking, though.
Today, however, is the first of October, and it's feeling like fall now just in the last couple of days. The fields are all harvest brown, and the weather is hitting around a perfect 70ish peak. This is just perfect hiking weather, getting ready for the fall leaves and Halloween and all such goodness.
Walking across the Quary road this early evening I was knee deep in the funk on the mp3 player, what with Maggot Brain and Hardcore Jollies, boning up on my George Clinton. I must admit though that I got a bit impatient with that, and jumped ahead to end up with the Dock of the Bay album. Otis Redding was definitely hitting the sweet spot the best tonight.
But with the smell of fall in the air and the leaves just getting ready to turn, I'm about to have to break out the obvious Neil Young. It's an obvious choice, I know, but it's obvious because it's in fact so obviously right.
It's a good day to be alive and walking in God's country.
Feeling a little gratitude, and just thought I'd share.
