Hostile bearers of unproven and mostly unlikely evil conspiracies tend to come across to me as hateful seekers after cheap self-aggrandizement for the sake of their supposed arcane knowledge rather than actual seekers after truth or the better benefit of the country. Conspiracy mongering doesn't get me hard.

To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

A great, historic day for Iraq and the world They actually had an election in Iraq today. A real election, with multiple candidates, and a big majority turnout- probably well over 60%. This looks like a pretty significant historical event.
Now, everything's not all peaches and cream. People braved threats that they would be murdered merely for voting, and several dozen were. There are legitimate questions about the price Americans have paid for this. How will this play out? We don't even know who has won how many seats at the table.
Still, from any reasonable viewpoint, this has been a huge and significant success. Did I mention that they just held a free election in IRAQ?!
President Bush summarized the situation nicely in brief remarks after the polls closed.
By participating in free elections, the Iraqi people have firmly rejected the anti-democratic ideology of the terrorists. They have refused to be intimidated by thugs and assassins.
And they have demonstrated the kind of courage that is always the foundation of self-government.
Of course, there are always those with less statesmanlike responses, for example John Kerry. "It is hard to say that something is legitimate when whole portions of the country can't vote and doesn't vote."
Even on the very day of their election, John Kerry with malice aforethought thus worked to undermine the legitimacy and progress of freedom for the long-suffering people of Iraq rather than even implicitly allow President Bush any credit for a success. This takes Kerry several steps past merely being a sore loser, and into spiteful malevolence. Gee, the American people sure were stupid not to elect this guy president.
But screw all the haters. This has been a red letter day for the Iraqi people. They have made a massive brave demonstration of positive desire to take control of their own destiny, and to make a real future for themselves and their children.
