I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

Thank you, Sir! May I have another? Found myself being denounced and banned by an Angry Black Man. Prometheus 6, according to his web domain name, apparently represents the "niggerati."
I wandered into his site from Juliette Ochieng's outstanding Baldilocks blog, relating to a post she had about "Crutches."
Prometheus responded positively to that comment post from me by elevating it to a whole new posting to answer, "Al Barger of Culpepper Log."
Being a post specifically about me, it seemed reasonable to try to respond in what seemed like a friendly and understanding manner. Thus I specifically acknowledged that black people were being lynched and left swinging in the trees in the Jim Crow era, and that this might understandably be some point of anxiety or lingering resentment among black people.
This resulted immediately in Prometheus denouncing me as a "racist pig" and running a whole new post, "Al Barger Is Banned." Being that I am banned, I have not presumed to try posting any kind of answer on his site.
Apparently, Prometheus carefully misconstrued the single phrase "swinging from the trees" to be a monkey insult rather than a reference to strange fruit. I say "carefully misconstrued" in that I find it difficult to see how you could accidentally misconstrue it in this way - taking it his way just doesn't even make sense in context.
Note that in the third comment to his article, Prometheus claims that I used a very harsh word to insult a fellow Blogcritic. This is purely factually untrue, a wholecloth fabrication. [This Prometheus guy is supposed to be a Blogcritic as well, though I don't recall seeing anything from him.] PS: In fairness, he did eventually run this minimal correction.
He wrote another post specifically to berate me, "First Thing in the Damned Morning," which is when he received a private (and exceedingly polite) email from me.
I responded to him back on the Baldilocks site, at "Back and Forth."
I can't get too mad about this kind of foolishness. I know that I'm pretty much volunteering for it by attempting dialogue with an angry black person. Most sensible white folks (and most sensible black folks, for that matter) simply ignore such people. I want to understand - enough to walk into this kind of nonsense from time to time.
What to make of this Prometheus? I fear violating Stuart Smalley's wise admonition against taking other people's inventories, but this is surely some kind of shame based behavior. My best guess is that he's basically projecting some deep self-hatred of himself and his race onto whitey, in this case me. I know the hate didn't come from MY side of the aisle.
[In best Paul Harvey voice:] And now you know... the rest of the story.
